When designing our own bathroom recently, the decision to have a wooden vanity was clear for us. We wanted to introduce some warmth and texture into our bathroom to contrast the stark white tiles and black stone, while still trying to keep it light and fresh.
Our wood of choice was American Oak, for its blonde colour and clean feature.
The inset sink and wall mounted taps work to avoid distraction from the minimal design. It has two large soft close drawers allowing for good storage.
Our towel rails and trimming above the mirror cabinet are in the same American Oak and help to break up all the white in the room. We love it!
It is admired and enjoyed daily and so far has endured the rigours of a toddler determined to put more soap and water all over it than in the basin or his hands.
